Breast Procedures
The size and shape of a woman’s breasts can often play a critical role in her self-image. Women who are discontent with their breast size may feel self-conscious or even embarrassed about their appearance. We offer a variety of breast enhancement procedures, as detailed below, that can give the breasts a more balanced, symmetrical look while still appearing natural and beautiful. Quick Recovery® Breast Augmentation
In Quick Recovery® breast augmentation, patients can achieve the enhanced breast size and shape they desire with minimal post-operative downtime, which translates into less time away from family and from work. Our plastic surgeon performs the “no-touch technique,” which employs specially designed tools and his advanced skill to insert the saline or silicone breast implants. By using this method, he is able to minimize trauma to the surrounding tissues. Quick Recovery® breast augmentation typically produces a much more comfortable and rapid recovery process, allowing patients to enjoy their beautiful breast augmentation results in less time.

Breast Augmentation with Lift
Breast augmentation with a lift, or breast lift with implants, is ideal for women who wish to increase their breast size while also elevating their breasts to a higher, more youthful position. During this procedure, the nipple-areolar complex is typically raised, and excess or lax skin is tightened. With the addition of breast implants, patients can restore volume that may have been lost over time with age or due to pregnancy, or simply achieve the enlarged breast appearance they have always desired.

Dual Plane Breast Augmentation
Dual plane breast augmentation, also called the “internal breast lift,” utilizes breast implants to enhance a patient’s breast size while also creating a lifted effect. In this surgery, Dr. Joe creates a breast pocket that is both above and below the chest muscle, in which the implant is placed. This causes the breast tissue to naturally sit at a higher position, creating a slight lift without the extensive scars often produced in an external lift. Dual plane breast augmentation is most appropriate for those wanting enlarged breasts who also have minor drooping they would like to address.

Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation
If you are seeking a modest degree of breast enhancement, fat transfer breast augmentation can be an excellent treatment option to improve the dimensions of the breasts without the need for an implant. This technique can repurpose a patient’s own tissue from another region of the body to add volume to the breasts, correct asymmetries between both breasts, smooth contour irregularities, or provide coverage for implant rippling. As an individual’s natural tissue is being utilized, there is generally no risk of an allergic reaction.

Breast Lift
Breast lift surgery, or mastopexy, is intended to tighten sagging breast tissue and raise the nipple-areolar complex. Candidates for a breast lift have typically experienced a loss of breast volume over the years due to the natural aging process or following pregnancy and breastfeeding. This procedure is highly customized to the unique qualities of a patient’s breasts, including the degree of skin laxity and amount of excess tissue present. Depending on the patient’s aesthetic goals, breast lift surgery can be combined with breast augmentation.

Breast Reduction
Breast reduction can provide relief for the many symptoms associated with overly large breasts. Women with enlarged breasts often suffer from neck, shoulder, and back pain as well as rashes in the natural crease beneath the breast. In addition, these individuals tend to have felt self-conscious about their breast size since they were young. With reduction surgery, breast tissue and excess skin is removed to decrease overall volume and lighten the weight of the breasts. The nipple-areolar complex is typically elevated in the process.

Male Breast Reduction (Gynecomastia)
Male breast reduction is an effective treatment for the condition known as gynecomastia. Characterized by excess breast tissue in men, gynecomastia is a common cosmetic concern that can cause embarrassment and poor self-confidence. With male breast reduction, Dr. Joe can help his male patients achieve the more masculine chest appearance they desire. The best approach for male breast reduction will vary according to each patient’s needs. The solution may entail non-surgical treatment, such as CoolSculpting®, or in most cases, surgical excision and/or liposuction through a tiny, inconspicuous incision may be performed to remove the excess tissue.

Breast Implant Removal
Patients may want to remove their breast implants for various reasons, including dissatisfaction with the size or shape of the implants, discomfort or pain associated with the implants, or the desire to return to a natural breast appearance. Complications such as implant rupture, leakage, or capsular contracture may also be a primary reason for removal, and Dr. Gryskiewicz can develop a treatment plan around your goals.

En Bloc Capsulectomy
En bloc capsulectomy is an explantation technique in which both the breast implant and its surrounding capsule — scar tissue that forms around the implant — are removed as a single unit. This procedure is often utilized in cases of breast implant complications, such as implant rupture or capsular contracture, to ensure complete removal of the capsule and its contents “as a whole.”

Breast Revision
Breast revision is designed to address issues or improve the results of a previous breast augmentation or reconstruction surgery. Common reasons for breast revision include correcting complications such as capsular contracture, addressing changes in size or shape preferences, or resolving asymmetry. As a secondary procedure, breast revision involves removing or replacing breast implants and may include additional adjustments to achieve the desired outcome.
